
Situational report by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said its rescue personnel from the Headquarters responded to a distress call received at 7:58 p.m. and the team arrived at the scene at 8:14 p.m.
The crash involved a Kia motor truck with a registration number GG 1304-18), a Sprinter Bus (GX 8325-13), and a Volvo trailer (GT 7856-20).
Fire officers crew extricated victims and provided immediate emergency care. Out of 21 recorded casualties, 2 persons died at the scene, while 19 others were conveyed to Achimota Hospital and the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.

Working alongside other emergency responders, the GNFS secured and managed the scene, prevented secondary incidents, and cleared the roadway to restore normal traffic flow.
The cause of the crash is still under investigations.
The Service extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery, while urging all motorists to strictly observe traffic regulations and prioritize road safety.
