Police roll out enhanced security measures ahead of Easter celebrations.

The Ghana Police Service has announced heightened security arrangements across the country to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration, particularly in major activity centres such as Kwahu.

According to the Police, operational teams have been strategically deployed along major routes leading to and from Kwahu to enhance security and maintain public order.

Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) personnel have also been positioned to manage traffic flow and minimise congestion during the festive period.

The Service further disclosed that intelligence-led operations have been activated nationwide to prevent and respond swiftly to any criminal activity, reinforcing efforts to safeguard lives and property.

Members of the public have been urged to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel, and adhere strictly to safety guidelines.

Motorists, in particular, have been advised to observe road traffic regulations, avoid excessive speeding, refrain from drunk driving, and comply with instructions from officers on duty.

The Police also encouraged individuals to be mindful of their personal safety and belongings, and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.

The Ghana Police Service assured the public of its commitment to ensuring a secure environment throughout the Easter period and wished all citizens a safe and enjoyable celebration.
