Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia received a rapturous reception from NPP faithful in his hometown, Walewale, today during his national campaign tour.
The party delegates who had thronged the venue where Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was to address them, in remarkable show of love and support for him, prevented him from campaigning, insisting that they have already made up their minds to vote massively for him, come January 31 next year.
The former Vice President has been touring the nation to solicit votes from the NPP delegates as they prepare for the party’s presidential election next year.
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Dr. Bawumia made an entry into the North East Region after touring the Upper West and Upper East Regions.
Bawumia’s visit to Walewale turned out very successful with the party faithful joyfully rallying behind him like all other tours he’s made across the nation.
Before his arrival, the atmosphere at Walewale was charged as the gathering of NPP supporters and delegates sung and beat traditional drums to praise Dr. Bawumia.
The enthusiastic party supporters refused to allow Dr. Bawumia spend long minutes to hours campaigning as they pledged 100% support for him.
This notwithstanding, Bawumia found a minute to deliver his message of hope and his vision for the New Patriotic Party and Ghana.
He expressed his gratitude to the gathering for their unflinching support for him to win the upcoming January’s primaries.
