Ofankor–Nsawam Dual Carriageway to undergo three-day traffic diversions

The Project Team of the Ofankor–Nsawam Dual Carriageway has announced temporary traffic diversions from Saturday, February 21, to Monday, February 23, 2026, to allow for ongoing pavement works on the southbound service road.

In a notice, the team advised motorists travelling from Ofankor and Pokuase to Amasaman to use either of the following alternative routes:

  • Divert onto the Ayawaso–Awoshie Road, turn right at Odumasi Junction in Amomole Town, and continue to Amasaman.
  • Drive on the main Nsawam Road, make a U-turn at Pobiman Roundabout, continue on the southbound service road, and turn towards Amasaman at Sapeiman or Toman Junction.

For those travelling from Amasaman to Ofankor/Pokuase, alternative routes include:

  • Drive to Odumasi Junction in Amomole Town and continue on the Ayawaso–Awoshie Road.
  • Drive to the Lady in Red junction on the Nsawam–Accra Road, turn right onto the main road towards Ofankor/Pokuase.
  • Drive on Opah Road to Sapeiman on the Nsawam–Accra Road and turn right onto the main road to Ofankor/Pokuase.

The team noted that traffic wardens will be stationed along the affected routes to assist motorists. It further urged drivers to adhere to the directional signs provided.

The Project Team apologised for any inconvenience the diversions may cause and thanked the public for their patience and cooperation during the rehabilitation works on the busy Ofankor–Nsawam corridor.
